North Carolina has tweaked the Common Core Standards. This is a webpage from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction which will provide you with a plethora of what I think is very fascinating information, but it might put you to sleep. In case you wanted to know....
This link will take you to the new curriculum that WCPSS is using for 6-8th grade math. If you click on the grade level "For Families," it will take you to an explanation for each math concept. WCPSS has worked with the publisher of Open Up Resources to tailor lessons to the new NC Math Standards. Students in 6+ Math will receive workbooks for each unit.
